Fall Festival at the Bamboo Farm

Today we went to the bamboo farm for the fall festival. It was overcast- but thankfully not raining.

Here is a picture on the hayride.

With a balloooom.

Looking at the helicopter.

Face painted- which Noah asked to do!

And on the pony ride- he rode twice.

We had a lot of fun.

To the Pumpkin Patch

On saturday when Mommy was done working, we went to the pumpkin patch at the Methodist Church. It had a steeple. I like finding steeples.

There were a lot of pumpkins!! We got a big one for daddy, a medium one for mommy and I got 2 small white ones. It was raining when we left.

Noah's New Room

Today we finished (well, mostly) with Noah's room. We went from white furniture to wood, and from a crib to a twin with a trundle.

Here is the Before::

And the After!! We stuck with the primary colors, and didn't have to repaint or change the pictures. I would like to get him a bulletin board for near the chest.

The Transition

This has been a week of transitions. The first has been getting accustomed to life without Roamin. Very hard.

The second is transitioning Noah out of his crib. This has actually gone really well. I think we are surprised. He likes his new bed. He has not asked to go into his crib. We will probably take apart the crib this weekend. I will take pics of his "new" room when we get it fixed up. We will be getting him a new dresser in the next few weeks bc his is umm, falling apart. Yeah. The top drawer won't even close.

The third is the changes to the blog!! What do you think??? There is a new feature- you can become a follower. I am also going to be updating and changing some of the lists. Suggestions for new lists would be great!!

Oatland Island

Last weekend I took mommy and daddy to Oatland Island to see the animals. It was really fun. We saw bison, wolves, deer, birds, alligators, a cow, a biting pig, chickens, and 2 silly turkeys. I had fun running up the trail and the ramps. I liked the wolves the best. They had a big nest with eggs I sat on. I can't wait to go back!!!

Roamin Noodle (April 10, 1996 - October 2, 2008)

We got Roamin 2 months after we got married. We got him from the humane society. He was the best dog- and had some fun personality quirks. When he was younger he liked to play hide and seek. Scott or I would hide, and he would come find us. He also liked to run from the vacuum. He had an iron stomach, and ate the following:
several pounds of raw ground beef
numerous loaves of bread
a bag of full size Reese's peanut butter cups- including the wrappers
a pyrex pan of brownies- including the pan
clean pamper's diapers

The first picture is about 3 years ago, right after a haircut.

The second is all fuzzy with all his hair.

The third is from this summer.

He was very protective of the family and let us know when people were approaching. He had lots of nicknames including Moe, Mo-Mo, Noodlehead, and Roaminofsky. He was very loved and spoiled, and will be greatly missed.

Taking a Walk

Since the weather has cooled off, we try to go on a walk every night. This is also about the only time Noah will let me wear him. At other times, he is too busy! This is my babyhawk carrier. This is Noah riding on my back.

and Noah riding on my front. (yes, this is the same walk- he wanted to switch). I think I need a toddlerhawk though, he is getting so tall for the babyhawk! (and I've been looking at some chocolate straps!) He does get heavy after a while.

We are so blessed to have our miracle mudpie makers. Share our joy and our journey.
